Riverton Community Arts Centre Summer Workshops 2019.
We are thrilled to announce a workshop planned for the 19th January 2019 with well-known New Zealand artist Janet de Wagt. Janet has been a working artist all her life and has travelled to many different parts of the world.
She has focused on people and their environments and is passionate about conservation. She has exhibited internationally and nationally and since 1996 has focussed on landscapes. Janet has spent a lot of time working with communities in the lower part of the South Island.
Janet will provide the materials for this course, but students will need to bring a drawing board, and a piece of mdf and their lunch. (Riverton has several cafes located close by).
My Piece of Nature will be a whole day workshop and includes painting exercises in the morning followed by painting on location, then lunch and will continue through the afternoon.
This workshop is planned for the third weekend in January 2019. 19th January (Saturday) It will be very popular so please register early. The cost is $130.00 for non-members and $110.00 for members.
