This course, new to our programme for 2019, will run on Saturday 6 April 2019 10 AM - 4 PM. A repeat course is available Saturday 29 June 10 AM - 4 PM 2019 and Saturday 9 November 10 AM - 4 PM. This November course will have a Christmas theme, teaching a completely fresh approach to Christmas cakes.

Come and learn how to create a cake that has the wow factor! Naked cakes have no outside layer of icing allowing you to show off the delicious layers and fillings inside and create amazing toppings.
A naked cake is easily recognised by its absent or minimal outer layer of frosting, which shows off the cake's natural texture and filling. Some naked cakes have zero frosting on their outer edge, while others have just a wisp of buttercream (as illustrated). The cake for naked cake is most often white or yellow, although you can find naked cakes in every flavour from chocolate to funfetti.
Pastry chef Oscar will share her recipe for the most indulgent chocolate mud-cake ever. After making your cakes, she'll then share her professional tips and tricks for stunning adornment in the 'naked' fashion and you'll all ice your own cakes. All ingredients are included in the course fee and you'll take home your stunning creation.
