Louis Lucas-Perry has been learning piano since the age of 10 but did not fully discover classical music until he was 13. He has been involved in many concerts throughout the Nelson region including performances of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in Am and Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini with the Nelson Symphony Orchestra.
Louis is also currently accompanying the Nelson Male Voice Choir and Motueka High School Choirs.
He completed his Bachelor of Music Degree in 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Jian Liu and during his studies received the NZSM directors scholarship and Expressions Piano Trust Prize.
Louis is currently being taught by Richard Mapp in Nelson and wishes to continue pursuing a career in classical music.
