Welcome! Witamy! The New Zealand Polish Film Festival in Christchurch has arrived!
The NZPFF is a boutique foreign language film festival dedicated to presenting a range of high quality, unique, cutting edge, exciting and little-seen work in New Zealand.
After four editions in Wellington since 2016, this will be the first time the New Zealand Polish Film Festival will screen in Christchurch. We have selected two audience favourites from our Wellington screenings as a taster for this annual event throughout New Zealand from April 2020.
Inaugural Opening Night Gala Screening: Friday 28 June 2019
NZPFF 2019 - Christchurch opens with the 2018 Best European Animation award-winning drama 'Another Day of Life' based on the real-life experiences of veteran Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski. A Polish-Spanish co-production and ten years in the making, 'Another Day of Life' is a kaleidoscopic cinematic feast, mixing reportage and animation to stunning effect.
6pm cocktail event for a 7pm screening ($30 Ticket price includes Polish themed canapés and a glass of wine)

'Nina' is an intimate and brave story about falling in love unexpectedly - a difficult love with complicated choices. Sensitively and delicately told, Olga Chajdas's feature debut is a sensual work whose centre is a love story between two people.
