An exhibition of satirical 3D art pulling no punches in today’s political and social environment.

Bay of Plenty artist, Alex Miln, pulls no punches creating 16 3D cartoonish artworks satirising politics, religion and big business. A thoroughly entertaining exhibition which everyone can relate to at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.

Alex recreates iconic neon signage depicting traditional eateries from the mid-west USA, classical cinema signs and contentious religious signage typical in the Bible States.

Recent US political events have also inspired Alex to create a clutch of satirical artworks reflecting the current President’s beliefs and actions.

A special feature encourages visitors to take “Selfies” with one of Alex’s unique productions, with a prize of an Alex Miln original for the most creative photo.

Consisting of more than 16 pieces the exhibition opens with an invitation only viewing on 16 October followed by a free public showing running daily from 17 to 28 October.
