Noise Situation: Nick Harte/Crude/Placenta Cookbook

Nick Harte will be performing a set of electronic music which centres around time and perception and how we interact with sound via technology. All of the sounds employed will be sourced from YouTube samples of intentionally varying quality.

These monolithic loop-based pieces, featuring samples from disparate sources, aspire to be genre-less by way of their often awkward conglomeration. All cuts will be transmitted through an iPhone 4.

Placenta Cookbook comprise two of the stalwarts of the early 90’s Christchurch industrial scene; Mikel Goodwin (Leonard Nimoy) and Jmz Robinson (TMA-1). Combining deep bass grooves and percussive guitar Placenta Cookbook present a minimal industrial sound.
