The Northland Youth Summit Arts Festival is an annual event which is held in a different location around Northland each year with 2019 being hosted in Kaitaia. This free event is for youth aged 12-24 residing in Northland with 80 places available.
Experts in their field facilitate and mentor youth in various creative workshops over 3 days. All youth stay on site for the entirety of the event with dedicated staff and mentors at a local marae. All catering is provided for the 3 days and transport is available to the event from different areas around Northland.
Each workshop will have a youth mentor to ensure the three-day programme is fully immersive, engaging and nurturing for the youth attendees. At the completion of the Northland Youth Summit, each group will present their finished work to the other youth participants and family members.
To apply: Youth will need to complete either the online or PDF application form, selecting their first choice, second choice and a third choice option for which workshops they wish to attend as we cannot guarantee placement in the first choice workshop. Youth under 18 years old will require parent or guardian consent.
