A community listening experience, featuring the stories of two NZ taxi drivers.
- Helmi al Kattat originally from Iraq
- Sukhdev Singh Bains from Punjab
The two drivers look back on their often turbulent lives and their life here in Aotearoa. Their stories have been recorded by Arrow FM and also included in 'Migrant Journeys' (Bridget Williams Books).
Also featuring:
- Adrienne Jansen, editor of More of Us (Landing Press), an anthology of poetry by 46 writers, from 29 countries, who have come to NZ as migrants or refugees
- Diane Comer, editor of The Braided River: Migration and the Personal Essay (Otago University Press), a collection of 200 personal essays by 37 migrants from 20 countries
- An address by Masterton Mayor Lyn Patterson
- Live music by Jonáš Koukl
