Learn about truffles and truffle growing at the NZ Truffles 2019 conference - an event that is inspiring, diverse in information, collegial and enthused!

Friday will consist of a number of optional workshops covering:
- truffle biology with guest speaker Dr Greg Bonito (renown US mycologist) and Dr Alexis Guerin-Laguette (this workshop will run twice – once in the morning and again in the afternoon)
- cooking with truffles, a chef presentation and value add products, and;
- new grower basics and revitalization/succession for your truffière.

On Saturday, our keynote speaker is Dr Greg Bonito. Greg is an academic from Michigan State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; a mycologist who moves around the world with enthusiasm and great gusto about all things truffle. We are also thrilled to have Dr Ian Hall ONZM as a speaker during the weekend, and have other fantastic speakers lined up covering a wide range of topics. The NZ Truffle Association AGM will be held on Saturday afternoon.

The conference dinner on Saturday evening will be at Peppers in a wonderful setting which will showcase truffles.

Sunday will be a field trip to two producing truffières–one borchii and one Perigord black truffle–plus a trip to Plant and Food for more truffle and mushroom talk.
