Our upcoming Feature Jam Night is going to be a really fantastic, our feature band will be the Hamilton based Out of The Blues fronted by Haggis Maguiness.
In a review of their recent Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival performance, Sam Edwards from Stuff said "Haggis was an event in his own right" and that "he deserved specific praise, both for his instrumental virtuosity and his vocals".

Bands Bio:
Out of the Blues are New Zealand’s proponents of Nu-Blues, an updated, re-worked version of traditional Blues. Four highly accomplished musicians from around the globe perform re-engineered classics for the modern audiences, while paying full respect to the rich traditions of the genre.
Out of the Blues are fronted by Kiwi singer and harmonica virtuoso Haggis Maguiness with his unique and enthralling high-tech sound. Polish-English guitarist, Maciek, adds the melodic edge to the band with hints of jazz and funk and according to the Waikato Times delivers “a virtuoso and musically informed lesson in guitar”.
A talented Uruguayan bass player, Carlos Pla, underpins Out of the Blues sound with stunning technique and danceable Latin grooves. Hamilton's Alan Grady completes the line up on drums, and has an extensive playing and recording background for such bands as Knightshade, Blackjack, Ritchie Pickett and The Tim Armstrong Band.
