The concept is simple - take a brush in one hand a drink in the other and let’s paint a masterpiece!
Join us for a creative night of drinking and painting in Dunedin! No previous painting experience necessary! Get your creative juices flowing and your brush strokes going!
The need to know:
Time: 7pm to 8:30/9pm (Arrive for 6:45pm, painting starts at 7pm)
Drinks: Your first drink is included in your ticket price
Food: Want to enjoy dinner too? Ombrellito's dinner menu will be available throughout the event
What is Paintvine?
It’s a fun social painting class where our artists will run you through step-by-step instructions on how to create your very own masterpiece in a fun and relaxed bar in Dunedin. Perfect for dates, catching up with mates or for meeting new friends.
We provide all the materials you need (high-quality canvas, acrylic paint, brushes). All you need to bring is your creative spirit (or find some at the bottom of a glass). At the end of the night you will leave with your own painting ready to hang up on your wall.
So what are you going to be painting?
This painting is by the Irish Artist John Nolan. The subject of John’s work is colour. He explores colour through his stylized/ pop art, contemporary and abstract styles. In 2008 he started a series of stylised paintings – Paying Homage – this is a work in progress which pays homage to the great masters. His paintings have been inspired by many artists. His father, in particular, was a huge influence on and source of inspiration for his work. John’s paintings transmit a positive, upbeat feeling to the viewer.
What is included?
All you need to bring is yourself. We supply the paints, brushes, canvases, easels and more. Best of all we do all of the setup and cleaning up so you can focus on just having fun.
What drink is included with the ticket?
The ticket includes one complimentary house beer, house wine or non-alcoholic drink for those already creatively charged
