Photographer, lecturer and award-winning publisher Simon Devitt is on a mission: to boost your knowledge and appreciation of photography as a storytelling medium, and to jointly rediscover ways to share our images with the world other than on our digital devices. Through playful and carefully curated exercises in and around Auckland Art Gallery you will find new perspectives and make a start creating or further developing your own visual language.
At the end of this half-day workshop, you’ll dare to experiment more when you are out with your camera, and know what it takes to create a photo series that tells a personal story. You’ll also walk away with a high-quality A3 print of one of your photos and the motivation to start new photography projects, such as creating photo albums, photo-books or prints.
This workshop is suitable for anyone from the keen mobile phone photographer right up to the experienced digital camera operator. A must for those who seek new inspiration or want to get more out of their photographs. The workshop material is provided by Canon.
