Nature needs you – NOW! Predator Free Urban Hawke’s Bay (PFUHB) invites you to join the fight against predators in your own backyard as we make Hawke’s Bay predator free.

Predator Free Urban Hawke’s Bay is leading the push to eradicate “Urban” mustelids, possums and rats from our local backyards. The bigger aim is giving urban communities a way to engage with, and preserve, our biodiversity.

As part of Conservation Week 2019, Predator Free Urban Hawke’s Bay has over 900 traps and tunnels to give away.

Come along to the Predator Free Urban Hawke’s Bay launch at the Soundshell on Saturday 14 September 2019, register and collect a free trap and tunnel. Talk to predator control representatives from HB Regional Council, Biodiversity Hawke’s Bay, Landcare Trust, Department of Conservation and Predator Free Urban Hawke’s Bay to learn how you can help.

New Zealand’s native wildlife is in crisis with more than 4,000 of our species threatened or at risk. We need to act now to help the native birds, insects and lizards living in our urban environments have a fighting chance of survival. Getting rid of predators is an important first step in helping New Zealand achieve Predator Free 2050.
