A fun Saturday creative class with Angela Lalonde at Creative Arts Napier.

Join Angela for 2 hours of fun, making prints with gelatin plates. This technique is easy to do, and no press is required. Once you have learned how to do it, you can carry on printing at home. Make cards, prints to frame or wrapping paper!

Be inspired by nature, patterns or make stencils of your favourite animal to print. The options are endless.

Angela welcomes participants of any age over 14 – so parents, bring your teen for some creative, quality time together! You will be amazed at what you can make. This class promises to be full of action, vibrant and you will go home with a pile of goodies.

How to book:
Contact bookings@thecan.co.nz or call 06 835 9448 to reserve your place. Payment confirms your booking. Your place can be held for 48 hours to allow you time to pay online, or by cash/eftpos at the CAN front desk. We advise early booking to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited.

What is Gelatin Printing?
‘Gelatin printing is a form of monoprinting in which a gelatin slab is used as a printing `plate’ in conjunction with standard water soluble printing inks to create images. Very little pressure is required to make monoprints using this technique. No press is required’.

What to bring:
A gold coin for a cuppa!
Drawing materials and an apron.
All other materials are included in the course.
