Psychic Maps and the Fuzzies begin their tour in Tauranga with local fave and ex Dunedite Ed Gains.

Psychic Maps Bio: The Psychic Maps are celebrating ten years of languishing in Dunedin with a short tour of the North Island. Helmed by Simon Maclaren (after being banished by the Subliminals) who has had the patience, wisdom, and ingnorance to condone the output of over 25 straggling musicians over time, they somehow always deliver a heady hedonist treat whenever they manage to appear on a stage.

For this tour Chris Heazlewood of King Loser infamy is joining in and the guitars are promising to be dialed up way past 9, and possibly to 9 and a quarter even. Once you add trending and noted percusionist Dr Marraca into the mix, with the cool American poise of Hannah Herchenbach on bass, plus some random paid session drummer dude, and you will certainly see and hear... something?

Given rumours that there is an ongoing history of tension between Maclaren and Heazlewood; the chance of seeing an onstage fist fight amidst the hypnotic grooves is almost likely, or at the very least, there should be some snearing, side-eye and guitar dual-offs if things remain polite.

Add to that that the Fuzzies are also releasing their debut CD/EP shortly and that you will be able to pick up an early bird copy at the show.
