Dust off your cocktail dresses and join us for an exciting "red carpet" event...the 2019 Reel Earth Environmental Film Festival Awards Night!

Dress code - Cocktail!
Doors open - 6:00pm
Awards commence - 6:30pm
Category winners will be announced, and their film (or snippets) will be shown to the audience.

Our guest speaker is Fiona Gordon.
Fiona is a Board member for the Palmerston North Environmental Trust, and Jane Goodall Wildlife Ambassador. She is an Environmental Policy Analyst and Accredited Mediator/Facilitator based in Palmerston North New Zealand. As Director of Gordon Consulting she specializes in resource management policy and planning, the development and management of environmental and wildlife projects and takes a special interest in researching wildlife trade issues. Fiona advocates nationally and internationally for strong wildlife protection, particularly via the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and the New Zealand Trade in Endangered Species Act.

Award Presenters:
Charlie Higgison - 2019 Reel Earth film Festival Judge, local film-maker and creator of the Award winning documentary "Education by Example".

Teanau Tuiono - 2019 Reel Earth Film Festival Judge, film maker with over 20 years experience as an activist, advocate and organiser at local, national and international levels.

Margaret Kouvelis - Local body politician, former Mayor of Manawatu, and champion for young people's education, innovation and leadership opportunities. Margaret's passion and drive led to her establishing Talent Central as a charitable trust in 2016 and becoming its first Chair.
