Chefs and waiters from some of Auckland's favourite restaurants are gathering to cook and serve their beloved recipes from Antony Bourdain's Les Halles cookbook. In memory of the chef who sadly took his own life last year, the local industry is getting together to celebrate his legacy and raise money for Lifeline New Zealand.

It'll be a fun, collaborative night with dozens of suppliers generously donating product, and chefs and waiters from Culprit, Orphan's Kitchen, Apero and Cazador volunteering to cook and serve.

Expect an informal evening with a set menu of the chefs' favourite Bourdain recipes, complemented by a range of local wines and beer and relaxed and friendly service at Culprit. We don't intend for this to be a sad and serious evening, rather a chance to celebrate a genuine hero and catch up with our hard working brothers and sisters in hospo. Everyone is welcome, public and industry alike, it'll be classic cooking, good banter and some quality drinks.

Why we're raising cash -

- Lifeline receives 10,000 calls each month with at least 6 people each day who are at risk of taking their own life.
- Lifeline doesn’t receive any government funding for the core helpline and around half of all calls go unanswered.
- Suicide rates in NZ are at a record high with 606 people taking their own lives in 2018. That’s 1.6 times the national road toll.
- For each completed suicide it’s estimated there are up to 10 attempted suicides and more than half of all New Zealanders have been impacted by suicide.

Let's help because we can.
