Risingholme Singers Present: King of Love

Come along and listen to the Risingholme Singers perform under the direction of Henry Nicholson and accompaniment by William Grubb for our end of year Christmas themed concert. You will hear songs from the great choral composers such as Rutter and Whitacre, including Seal Lullaby and The Music's Always There With You. We will also perform the incredible Christmas cantata, King of Love, composed by Rodger Strader and arranged by Bob Krogstad. A quartet of singers from our choir will also come together to perform Fred Jacobson and Zacar's When a Child Is Born. Join us in singing some favourite Christmas carols along the way too!

We also invite guest artists Amy Clough playing the Oboe from Rangi Ruru Girls' School and Gabriel Baird on Piano from the University of Canterbury to perform solo items for us.

For this concert we return to our home, the Risingholme Theatre, where we have rehearsed and performed for decades before the 2011 earthquakes had us shift to different venues. Access to the theatre is available from either 22 Cholmondeley Avenue or 99 Hawford Road in Opawa.
