New Management are on a mission to make Kopu Great Again! In doing so we have booked a great line up of events to kick start you summer here on the peninsula. The second of November we have Rootz Konekt joining the lineup.
Rootz Konekt is a 10 piece roots reggae/funk band from Hamilton, New Zealand. Formed in late 2012 RK continue to positively impact local venues and festivals with our own take on roots covers as well as our own original music.
With our debut album releasing early May 2016, we pride ourselves in pushing New Zealand HOMEGROWN music and embrace all up coming NZ artists. RK has shared the stage with both national and international acts. Names such as:
KatchafireJboog (USA) Third world (Jamaica) 1814 Tiki Tane Rebel Souljahz (Hawai'i), Brendon Thomas and the VibesAnuhea (Hawai'i) and much more. Rootz Konekt endeavour to bring audiences to their feet with our base foundation of roots reggae and incorporating jazz and funk into our music gives us a unique sound not heard before in this industry. We pride ourselves in what we do and we do it.
