Hola amigos...RUMBA goes Colombian this time! As some of you know NelsonSon Afro & Latin Dance only run this event every 2 months and this time we've prepared an amazing experience in our new CASA (venue)! Colombian IndepenDance Celebration!
This is going to be an unforgettable night for Nelson, you will feel like you are in the middle of a South-American fiesta... The biggest Latin party in the top of the South. We will have free dance classes, Latin dance performances and a special guest from Christchurch, DJ D Latino, from the biggest Latin party in the South Island (Some of you know him already! He will make you melt your shoes on the dancefloor!).
But that's not all! After months of research we came out with the perfect Latino event... Keep enjoying your inner Latino and stay along for our specialty... the funky and spicy fusion of Latino Styles with the best RnB of all time - RNB VS Latin Night - +Bonus Colombian Special: + Cumbia + Salsa Choke + Vallenato.
La Noche / The Night:
7pm - Latin Social Dance
- Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, Kizomba
From 7.30pm - Free Classes
Kizomba - Cumbia - Salsa Choke
+ Colombian live performance (Orchids Colombian Dance group)
11pm - R&B vs Latin Night
DJ D'Latino takes over the night with the best tunes in English and Spanish!! Everyone on the dance-floor, this will turn Caliente!
*First comers get a complementary free drink.
Fundraiser Event for Colombian Refugee Community:
- NelsonSon has always been helping promoting our Latino talents and supporting this group, so we will donate 10% of door sales to them.
- We will also have a Donation Box available.
Dress Code:
- Bring along anything with Colombian Colours (Yellow - Red - Blue) if you can.
*Promotion: If you come dressed in Colombian color, the entry will be 2 people for the price of 1 (Door price only)

- Children (under 18yo) permitted only if they are accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.
- Please expect a queue at peak time, buy a ticket ahead of time to skip it.
