Ruth Wynard

Ruth is returning for her annual visit to NZ which includes The Tin Hut, bringing her collection of beautifully honed blues songs covering the history and many styles of "the blues".

She plays acoustic guitar to accompany her powerful and expressive vocals and has fascinating stories to relate from her many years on the road.

The local musos, Pat McKenna and Mike Dew will join her later in the set playing lead guitar and bass. Warming the show up from 7.30 Paul Mason will sing a few of his renditions of classic folk songs and then K B (Kevin Bannister) and the Roosters will up the tempo with a short set of electric blues songs from the Texas Blues stable.

Good country fare and a well stocked bar are available at reasonable prices, best to get there around 6.00pm to get a table and eat before the musical action starts.

Kate Sullivan and her crew do a great job looking after everyone.

It's $7.50 per person cover charge at the door and we welcome koha to help with the extra expenses of the visiting musician who has traveled from The States to be with us.
