A night of entertainment starting with Christchurch singer songwriter Scattered Ashes , followed by Nathan Hedley’s stand up show “Search for Happiness”.
Searching for Happiness is a comedy show mixed with a Ted X talk, which explores Nathan's battle with mental health and suicide.
He also explains how he feels about the mental health system through his experiences of talking to helplines and counsellors and going to see doctors, etc. This show is one of those shows where it will be a rollercoaster of a ride.If you want to see a show that will bring tears of happiness and joy along with sadness then this is the show for you.
"Scattered Ashes is the live performance alias of Steve Carter, a writer, artist and musician who has a particular focus on work exploring the human condition........on values, wellbeing and identity. With a career dedicated to community development and activism, he recently released a new album 'A Question of Identity' which, along with all of his material, is designed to provoke dialogue......about such issues as mental health, diversity and social change. Live shows present the songs as a narrative that shadows a journey of recovery and discovery and listeners can expect equal measures of blunt honesty, self-effacing humour and incisive social commentary."
