Shane Hales MNZM (Lead Vocals/MC)
Legendary Kiwi entertainer ‘Shane’ first hit the New Zealand rock/pop music scene as a frontline vocalist with top mid-1960s band The Pleazers. Then followed solo residencies on the popular TV shows “C’mon” (1968-69), “Happen Inn”, and “FreeRide”. In 1969, Shane’s Loxene Golden Disc-winning song “Saint Paul” was No. 1 on the NZ charts for seven weeks and was also a Top 10 hit in Germany.

Subsequently, he fronted his own bands The Shane Group and Zonk before heading overseas to work in Europe and the UK in the 1970s. In addition to his late-1960s hit singles, “Saint Paul”, “Heya”, “Natural Man”, “Cuddly Toy” and “Lady Samantha”, Shane has released over a dozen albums, the most recent being the highly acclaimed “Full Circle” (2011), and he’s still actively touring the country and playing to appreciative crowds.

Alistair Taylor (Bass Guitar/Vocals)
Highly experienced, versatile musician with a background in leading Auckland covers bands of the 1960s-70s. Has been busy as a member of popular bands – most recently, The Shadz - on the service/R’n’R clubs circuit since 2000.

Kevin Furey (Lead Guitar/Vocals)
One of New Zealand’s most respected and in-demand guitarists over many years, with long experience as both a recording and live performance musician, working with top international and NZ artists. Former member of the legendary Quincy Conserve, Rock Candy and other top '60s/'70s bands.

Murray Patten (Keyboards/Steel Guitar/Vocals)
Talented, dynamic, experienced multi-instrumentalist across a broad range of musical genres, and ace front-of-house sound engineer for touring NZ and overseas acts – and, of course, for Shane & The Shazam! Band.

Dean Ruscoe (Drums)
Internationally experienced studio and live-show musician who has worked and toured with numerous local bands and artists, including Hogsnort Rupert, The International Maori Volcanics (including Billy T. James), Ricky May, Sir Howard Morrison and The Yandall Sisters.

Graham Gibson (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals)
Veteran of leading 1960s club/show-bands and longtime creator/producer of advertising jingles and musical/theatrical business shows. Recently active in three popular Auckland-based club bands, including The Shadz.

Band present a high-powered, rockin’ “show” that you just “wanna dance” to, including a full-scale 90-minute celebration tribute of the heyday hits of Cliff Richard & The Shadows plus some of the great Rock’n’Pop hits from the teen idols of that amazing era - Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Dion, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Monkees, and more. A typical show features a feast of classic songs of the 1960s-70s, including Shane’s own hits.
