Drupon Kunchok Yeshe will be teaching meditation 22-24/3 at the Paraparaumu library. Venerable Kunchok Yeshe is a Buddhist monk in the Drikung Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He has spent over 10 years in retreat in India and Nepal and received many oral transmissions and empowerments from various Drikung Kagyu masters.

In 2015 he was appointed as the retreat master (i.e. Drupon) at the Milarepa Retreat Center in Auckland.

We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to receive meditation teachings and instructions from such an experienced meditator.

Shravasti is one of the most ancient Buddhists holy places where Lord Buddha and his disciples have done many summer retreats for more than 25 years and it is the place where Lord Buddha manifested various miracles and have given many teachings & meditation that lead to the path of liberation.

His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism has introduced this meditation which is an easy mind training practice and with a comprehensive approach from Buddha Shakyamuni and it is suitable for modern people.

It is a healthy mind training method emphasising the Anapanasati sutra taught by the Buddha in Shravasti. This meditation practice is derived from the essence of the 3 Buddhist traditions (vipassanna meditation, Zen meditation and Mahamudra & Dzogchen meditation).

The above 2 days teachings and meditation will be led by Drupon Kunchok Yeshe and will be as follows:
