Silo Cinema: Shoplifters

As always, Silo Cinema is the place to start your weekend off right! Pop down from 5pm for drinks and a meal before settling in for the movie, starting at 9pm.

22 February brings one of the fan favourites from Cannes Film Festival, Shoplifters.

After one of their shoplifting sessions, Osamu and his son come across a little girl in the freezing cold. At first reluctant to shelter the girl, Osamu's wife agrees to take care of her after learning of the hardships she faces.

Although the family is poor, barely making enough money to survive through petty crime, they seem to live happily together until an unforeseen incident reveals hidden secrets, testing the bonds that unite them.

With a 98% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this is a film you don’t want to miss.

Rating: R (for some sexual content and nudity)

Event starts at 5.00pm with food and drinks. Movie screening starts at 9.00pm.
