Sofia Talvik - World Tour 2019.

During 2019 Swedish artist Sofia Talvik is embarking on a world tour that includes several European countries, New Zeeland and an extensive U.S tour.

Sofia Talviks is an Americana/Folk musician and her music has a special tint of her Scandinavian heritage, making her a favorite among music lovers. A North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy. She is a veteran performer with 7 full length albums who tours both Europe and USA every year.

Many of the concerts on the 2019 world tour will take place in intimate venues, a perfect setting for an evening of heartfelt music and interesting stories about the places and people this Swedish songwriter have encountered along the road, all around the world. New Zeeland is a new country on her list of places travelled. In USA she has already toured trough 47 states. She will be sharing a variety of songs from her 7 full length albums, as well as some new tunes from her upcoming album, due to be released later in 2019.

She has been compared with giants like Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins, as well as fellow Swedes "First Aid Kit", but has her own raw quality, a down to earth sound that makes her brilliant songwriting skills shimmer even more. She doesn’t have to hide behind the sounds, her songs and performance speak for themselves.

Her latest album ”Big Sky Country” (named one of the 5 best Americana albums of the year by British newspaper The Telegraph) celebrates her love for the vast plains, big mountains and sandy coastlines in the United States that she toured through, as well as the warm and quirky people she met on the road. "One of the most distinctively memorable Americana albums of recent years was made by a tirelessly touring, talented Swedish songwriter Sofia Talvik" wrote New York Music Daily when Sofia Talvik’s toured along the U.S East Coast.

Driven by a steady beat through foot percussion and rhythmic guitar picking, you can’t believe she is actually alone on stage. And in the center is her invigorating vocals that steal the show throughout. Her songs go straight to the heart with engaging lyrics, and she binds them together with personal anecdotes from her many tours in the USA and Europe, creating a warm and relaxed environment for the audience.

She’s played the big festivals like Lollapalooza and SxSW, opened for artists like Maria McKee and David Duchovny (X-files, Californication) but the intimate setting of a smaller stage where she can casually joke and communicate with the audience is really where her strength as a performer shines the most. Her delicate songs are performed in an intimate way, showing off Sofia’s angelic voice enhanced only by a tasteful mix of harmonies and delays, accompanied by the steady picking of her acoustic guitar and the rhythm section consisting of her own two feet, bells and a stomp box.

"Even though this young lady is from Sweden, I’d place her at the forefront of the American vanguard. One listen will tell you why and how." - PopDose

"A singer/songwriter who is able to evoke the essence of Laurel Canyon circa the ’60s." - NoDepression
