You are welcome to join us on this small group tour from the Kapiti Coast. The first stop on today's tour is morning tea among native bush at Kaitoke Regional Park.
Then we'll head over the Rimutaka ranges to Featherston's specialty shops such as C'est Cheese and Mr Feather's Den. If you prefer, you are welcome to stop by the fascinating Fell Locomotive Museum. On leaving town we'll visit a site that played an important role in New Zealand's military history.
Next it's south to Martinborough, now a thriving wine village. We'll have lunch in a popular cafe before heading to Te Kairanga Vineyard where we'll be hosted in the stockman's cottage (pictured) that once belonged to the town founder, John Martin, Here, you'll have the opportunity to taste local wines if you wish.
The price includes morning tea and wine-tasting. Please note that lunch is not included in the price and if you wish to visit the Fell Locomotive Museum, you will pay a small entry fee.
Pick up points: By arrangement from 9.00 am: Waikanae Railway Station, Paraparaumu Railway Station, Paekakariki Village and selected retirement villages.
Drop off: at the same locations before 5.00 pm.
Accessibility: The trip is taken in a comfortable 12-seater mini-bus which is not wheel-chair accessible. Assistance is offered for mounting and dismounting the vehicle. Walking frames can be safely stowed in transit.
