As a mark of respect for all those affected by Friday's tragic events in Christchurch the decision has been made to cancel the St Patrick’s Day Parade, planned for Sunday 17th March on Queen Street.

Yes, that’s right, the Hugh Green Group St Patrick’s Day Parade is returning to Auckland’s Queen Street! The first St Patrick’s Parade in the world, and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere.
Featuring Irish inspired floats, traditional music and dancing, marching bands, leprechauns, the Rose of Tralee and St Patrick himself. Don’t miss out!
The celebrations continue following parade on Queen Street (between Wakefield St and Mayoral Drive – near Aotea Square and the Town Hall) at the Irish Music and Dance Festival. Featuring Sean Kelly and The Celtic Flyers, Rough Town, the Connolly School of Irish Dance, the Doyle Academy of Irish Dance, kids’ rides, face painting and more.
