Working full-time as an artist from the 1960s until the present day, Daphne Mason's works are held in private collections around the world. This exhibition is something a little different; rather than presenting a large scale series, this is an insight into the practice of an artist still committed and applying herself to her craft in her nineties.
The exhibition comprises a small number of not for sale 'reference' works, combined with over 30 sketches (pencil, watercolour, pen). The works are small scale but full of life, and giving an excellent view of her figurative, character and landscape work, as well as the abstracts and compositions for which she is best known.
