A collaborative workshop, focused on getting together, sharing ideas and experiences, and creating some amazing textile art. You might be knitting, crocheting, stitching, sewing… whatever takes your fancy. Textile artist Maggy Johnston encourages the use of unexpected materials, elevating the common place to the realms of art.
You will make your own unique individual piece, and contribute to a communal work. Whether you’re a total beginner or experienced artist, Maggy will assist and instruct where needed, and harness your desire of experiment and play.
What’s included: A variety of cords, twines and strings, frames, embellishments, the use of some crochet hooks and knitting needles of varying sizes, and the use of further tools, tuition.
What to bring: Knitting needles or other preferred tools, scissors, a variety of yarns, wires, ribbons, etc.
