This high-energy course teaches students singing, acting and choreography techniques for showstopping musical theatre performances. Be prepared to give it your all and build your confidence in a fun, friendly group!

This creative and engaging 5-day programme takes a modern approach to musical theatre, celebrating diversity and freedom! Song choices are current and from different cultures to demonstrate the wide variety of musical theatre genres.

Beginners are welcome and no prior experience of musical theatre is necessary.
Students will work towards a performance for friends and family on the final afternoon of the programme.

Ham or vegetarian lunchboxes ($10 per day) can be ordered when you pay for the course or pre-ordered each morning.

Teaching artists:

Brady Peeti
Brady is a talented singer and performer who has had a number one single (‘It’s Raining’) in the iTunes blues charts and a long list of musical theatre and television credits. His “killer voice” and “soulful vocals” have been praised in productions including ‘Dominion Road The Musical’ and ‘Larger than Life’. A graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art, Brady has a Bachelor in Performing Arts and has studied acting with Raymond Hawthorne.

He has also performed as a soloist at Coca Cola Christmas in the Park Soloist, at Telethon and with Bic Runga at the Silver Scroll awards. Brady is an avid believer of taking the knowledge and techniques taught to him from great NZ practitioners and sharing it with his peers but most importantly, the Rangatahi.

Maria Va'a
A talented singer, dancer and choreographer, Maria Va’a was a member of the Paris Goebel’s Royal Family, and was part of the crew that won Bronze at the 2015 Hip Hop World Championships. She has performed in a number of musical theatre productions, including ‘Mama Mia' (2018 Auckland Music Theatre/Amici Productions), ‘In the Heights’ and ‘Dream Girls’ (Manukau Performing Arts).

In 2018 she choreographed ‘The Wiz’for Manukau Performing Arts Theatre and ‘Madagascar Jnr’ for Pukekohe Theatre Company. Maria has also worked as a dancer, choreographer and entertainer at Rainbow’s End theme park and has experience tutoring young people in literacy and numeracy.
