Enter a magical world of drama and dress-ups! Children will learn oral language, acting, public speaking, confidence and social skills.

This fun, creative course will bring out the inner performers in young children, building their confidence and improving their skills!

Through drama, movement, improvisation and voice, children will develop their dance, acting and speaking skills and be involved in a host of summer-themed activities to promote problem-solving, participation and imagination.

Children will use their voices, enjoy music and dancing (building rhythm, musicality, following, balance and co-ordination). They will also use role-play and storytelling to build an imaginary spring wonderland!

For the three days children will work towards a performance on the final day, which parents are welcome to attend.

Ham or vegetarian lunchboxes ($10 per day) can be ordered when you pay for the course or pre-ordered each morning.

Presented by TAPAC and Shine - School of Confidence.

Teaching artist Rhema Sutherland has been working as a speech and drama tutor for Shine for two years. She teaches at TAPAC and schools across Auckland. She graduated from acting training at UCOL, South Seas Film and Television School and The Actors' Program.

Rhema has performed at numerous professional theatres across New Zealand, including the Fortune Theatre (Dunedin) and Centrepoint Theatre (Palmerston North). She has also worked alongside government departments and agencies (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Development & ACC) developing and performing in programmes designed to educate children and young adults on various health and social issues.
