Join this Discovery Day Trip from Kapiti to Wellington. The tour includes points of interest in Wellington's northern suburbs of Tawa, Glenside and Churton Park, followed by a guided tour of the impressive Supreme Court in Wellington.

The tour begins with morning tea at Grasslees Reserve in Tawa, followed by a visit to Embrace Design and Fellow Artists, a new gallery shop which stocks hand-made art by locals.

A drive around the neighbouring suburbs of Glenside and Churton Park shows a contrast between semi-rural heritage and large-scale urban development. We'll have lunch at popular Simmer Cafe in Churton Park.

In the afternoon, on our exclusive guided tour of the Supreme Court we'll learn about the role of the highest court in New Zealand and see its impressive architecture and design features. We'll also take a look inside the beautifully restored Old High Court building on Stout Street.

Pick up points: Waikanae Railway Station, Paraparaumu Railway Station, Paekakariki Village, Plimmerton Village, Pukerua Bay, and selected Retirement Villages. Pick up is between 9.00 and 9.45 depending on the location.

Drop off: at the same locations between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm.

Accessibility: The trip is taken in a comfortable 12-seater mini-bus which is not wheel-chair accessible. Walking frames can be carried on this tour. Walking distances and steps are kept to minimum. Assistance is offered for mounting and dismounting the minibus.

The price includes morning tea.

Bookings are essential.
