Established in 2016, Tōhī is New Zealand’s only bilingual (Te Reo/English) Toastmasters Club. This club is for those who would like to improve their public speaking in either English or Te Reo Māori.
Toastmasters is a worldwide programme where you can improve your leadership and communication skills in a safe, supportive club environment.
Tōhī is a friendly and supportive group for those looking for space to practice and gain confidence using Te Reo Māori. We meet every Tuesday, 12-1pm in the WB Building, Room 102 at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) – City Campus.
All levels of Te Reo are welcome from beginner to advanced.
Our motto is “Nau mai te hapa!” - we welcome any attempts or mistakes (hapa) at using Te Reo.
Te Reo Anake! - The first Tuesday of each month the meeting will be conducted in Te Reo.
If you are still learning, we have resources for all levels to take part in this session.
