E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Workshops are now heading to communities around Aotearoa.

The E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Challenge is an opportunity for rangatahi up to the age of 24 to create films that present their perspective as young people in Aotearoa.

Māoriland challenges youth to be creative – to use what they’ve got and what they know to tell their stories.

During these workshops, rangatahi will work with fellow rangatahi filmmakers to create short films in just two days.

These workshops are for rangatahi aged 12 – 24, are FREE to attend and for rangatahi of all skill levels.

You must attend both days of the workshop.

ŌTAKI - JUNE 19 - 20, MĀORILAND HUB
KIRIKIRIROA - JULY 1 - 2, GO ECO
TĀMAKI MAKAURAU - JULY 3 - 4, TE ORO
KAITAIA - JULY 27 - 28, REAP KAITAIA
HOKIANGA - JULY 29 - 30, VENUE TBC

The films made in these workshops will be entered to the E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Challenge.

If selected, your film could screen at the E Tū Whānau Rangatahi Film Awards at Māoriland Film Festival next March where you could win up to $1,000 cash and have your film submitted to other film festivals around the world.
