About Tai Chi Level 2: Having mastered correct postures and movements, in this second level of Tai Chi, the focus of learning is to develop an awareness of the balance between internal and external chi.

Who should attend? Only those re-enrolling from previous terms, or those invited to do so by Bruno. Please contact the office on 521 9623 or info@selwyncomed.school.nz if you are unsure of your level or need advice on available classes.

What if I am brand new to Tai Chi or have only a little (less than a year's) experience? Tai Chi Elementary (at Selwyn College or at Orakei Community Centre) is suitable for you.

The elementary level of Tai Chi teaches you the correct stances and movements that cultivate the flow of chi (energy) in your body. Teacher Bruno advises that most students practise at elementary level for a year or more. The focus is on developing the rounded and relaxed movements (steps) of tai chi with the correct posture. Once students can perform their steps accurately and as second-nature, the focus shifts to feeling chi in the body. At this stage, Bruno may suggest you progress to the next level.
