Taking Flight - A Group Art Exhibition

'Taking Flight' is body of art work from three local artists who share a common love of native birds each working in their own medium and style. This weekend-long art exhibition is an opportunity to come and talk with the artists about their processes and view an amazing range of works in watercolour, pencil, acrylic, oil and resin, featuring realism, conceptual and abstract art. Something for every art lover.

The exhibition features work from:
Joanne Bowe (www.joanneboweartist.com) – who creates delicate pencil drawings that celebrate the very best of New Zealand’s unique flora and fauna;

Rebecca Dowman-Ngapo (www.somewhereart.co.nz/)– a watercolour artist whose work is indicative of contemporary New Zealand culture, reflecting aspects of daily life with a child; drawing inspiration from local places visited, family narratives and moments in time; and

Toni Kingstone (tonikingstoneart.artweb.com) – whose paintings in acrylic and charcoal are inspired by nature and feature native birds and other forms entwined in landscapes, and abstract work in a variety of mediums.

Join them for the Exhibition Preview of original paintings on Friday 4 October from 5-7pm, or visit the exhibition during the weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October from 10am-3pm when a pop-up shop will also be open with Limited Edition Prints from each artist.
