Visit the Polish Museum in Howick to hear the story of the 733 Polish children of Pahiatua. Forcibly deported from Poland to Russia during WWII, then exiled to Persia, the small group of children were invited to New Zealand for the rest of the duration of WWII.

Most of these survivors later became New Zealand citizens. There will be a screening of the film ‘Poles Apart’, which tells the poignant story and background of some of these children.

View stunning original artworks and peruse two floors of Polish culture, art and history in the galleries.

Morning tea included.

This programme is also available as a booked group event for x6-50 people, at a time and date to suit your group. Please contact museum staff by phone or email to arrange a date and time.
