The Artist Sessions are an alternative to structured workshops that give artists the opportunity to work on their own projects in a well-equipped studio, with tuition, group discussion and critique available. A wide range of paints, products and art making accessories is available to meet your every painterly whim.
The tutor, Morag Stokes, is a Scottish Kiwi painter and Certified Artist Educator with Golden Artist Colors Ltd. with extensive experience of running art workshops for a wide variety of groups. Small groups of 6 (max) artists have been meeting at Morag’s studio in Khandallah, Wellington on Monday and Thursday mornings since March 2014.
The minimum commitment is for a block of 6x3 hour workshops which costs $210. The studio has table top work space for up to 10 people, there are several easels available for use and a store room if you need to leave wet canvases from week to week.
Experience required: You will need sufficient art experience to be able to initiate your own project.
