The chapel choir of Christ's College, Cambridge, England continues a tradition of choral music which began in 1505.
Today's choir is made up of male and female students at the college who rehearse and sing in chapel services several times each week. The choir undertakes an annual tour abroad during the summer break to present concerts in many countries, most recently in Australia and America.
The Napier concert is part of this year's tour to Singapore and New Zealand. The choir is known as a very fine ensemble, with a broad repertoire ranging from medieval polyphony to intricate modern compositions.
They perform regularly in London and in other UK cities, and have made many well-reviewed recordings. The concert programme is likely to include music by English composers such as Gerald Finzi, Herbert Howells, Kenneth Leighton and William Walton, as featured on their latest CD "Even Such is Time".
