This Auckland based collective is made up of some of the most skilled and experienced musicians in New Zealand. Kiwi Mat Fieldes has spent 25 years based in New York and touring the world, playing and recording with such legends as Ornette Coleman and Joe Zawinul, Jay Z and the Gorillaz and contemporary 'crossover' group Absolute Ensemble. He has played on 4 Grammy nominated albums including one win with English rocker Joe Jackson. Cameron Allen, Dixon Nacey and Stephen Thomas are some of the most in demand musicians in the country. Together they bring their different influences and writing styles to cover styles from more traditional Jazz to the contemporary music of today. Our purpose is to present as diverse a programme as possible.
