Its summer, and what better time to sit in the garden and listen to the buzzing of bees and smell the flowers? Join Katherine Mansfield House & Garden and Wellington City Libraries as we delve into delightful tales about magical gardens.

Wear your favourite hat and after story time you can decorate it from our craft table. You can also explore the garden and discover what’s hidden in the trees. Afterwards, wander through Katherine Mansfield’s house and learn about her childhood.

Story sessions will be at 11am, 12noon and 1pm, with craft sessions running throughout.

Suitable for children 3-7 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free to attend, but gold coin donations are gratefully received.

This event will be held outdoors in our heritage garden, so please layer up with sunblock!

Entry to the museum itself is free of charge for children and an accompanying adult for the duration of the event.

If it is wet, the event will be held on Sunday 24 February instead. Keep an eye on KMHG's Facebook and Twitter if you're unsure.
