If you've only ever drunk the cheap end of Italian bubbles, you may not realise that they make some of the finest examples outside of Champagne itself. Tonight our sparkling specialist Regan McCaffery, will be taking us through the major regions, and various styles, that Italy has to offer.
From the best of Prosecco, to the stylish Franciacorta, and some of the new wave examples from the high slopes of Europe's most active Volcano. This evening will redefine your opinion on Italian Sparkling wine.
We will be tasting: Santa Margherita Valdobbiaene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut, Santa Margherita Valdobbiaene '52' Prosecco DOCG Extra Dry, Terrazze Dell'Etna Cuvée Brut 2015, Terrazze Dell'Etna Cuvée Brut 2012 50 Mesi, Bruno Giacosa Spumante Extra Brut 2007, Ca'del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Franciacorta DOCG, Ca'del Bosco Cuvée Annamaria Clementi 2008 Franciacorta DOCG, finishing with the delightful Ca'del Baio Moscato d'Asti 2017.
