For the fifth year, this sellout event is now in Auckland for the very first year! A charity event with a twist this years moot "Is Bigger Better?" it's the Boutique vs Giants adjudicated by TV comedian Jeremy Corbett with all proceeds going to Kenzies Gift. This year we have two amazing teams fighting out. Battling it out for the Boutique Winemakers we have Rod Easthope from Easthope Family, James Rowan from Westbrook Winery and Micheal Brajkovich from Kumeu River. Debating for bigger is Simon Fell from Thornbury, Jane Ferrari from Yalumba and the third is Jane De Witt from Lion.

Tickets include dinner, drinks and a lot of entertainment.

An evening not to be missed!

The Grape Debate is a Charity event that started in Hawke’s Bay, and in 2019 will now be in 3 regions throughout New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay, Central Otago and now Auckland. Two teams of winemakers debate a moot while guests enjoy great food, great wine and great entertainment. The debate is adjudicated by TV comedian Jeremy Corbett. As well as the debate, a live auction will be held with all proceeds given to a local charity of the regions choice. To date, The Grape Debate has raised over $120,000 for local charities throughout New Zealand such as; The Lowe Corp Rescue Helicopter, Kaikoura and Marlborough earthquake mayoral relief fund, Nelson/Marlborough rescue helicopter and Sticks and Stones.
