In order to carry abundant crops, our fruit trees must be healthy and strong first. Today is your fruit tree's lucky day!
Today is all about deciduous fruit trees eg: apples, peaches, plums, apricots, pears, persimmon.
How to thin fruit. What a difference thinning makes! Thinning keeps the pressure off your trees and creates steady cropping year after year. I'll show you how so you can go home and do your own trees.
Biological sprays. My favourite health regime! These sprays keep your trees and the ground around them fighting fit. I'll also explain fungicides - copper and lime sulfur - if and when you need them and how best to use them.
Herbal ley. Everything does better in a community. We'll look at groundcovers, nitrogen fixers and all round cool companion plants that'll take your orchard next level.
Fruit trees in bags. Rather than relying on weaker dwarf trees for smaller sections, I'll show you the wonder that is the Evergrow bag. Check out my figs and cherries!
There will be homemade morning tea, a cup of coffee and take home notes.
