February 2019 heralds in the Chinese New Year - Year of the Pig, and this year sees over 20 extraordinary Artists and Celebrities taking part to create their individual ‘Little Pig’ works of art.

Artists such as Shen Ming Cun, Alvin Pankhurst and Dalene Meiring, with celebrities Megan Annear and Erin Simpson to name a few, have designed and created their precious pigs. This year there are a limited number of ‘Little Pigs’ up for auction and they are looking for their new place to roam.

2019 will be the fourth year in a row Parnell celebrates Chinese New Year and during this live exhibition time, there is the opportunity to place a ‘Pre Auction Bid’ on your favourite ‘Little Pig’ and jump the ‘bidding queue’ prior to the live auction at Jonathan Grant Galleries on February 28th.

Over 20 exclusive ‘Little Pigs’ will be displayed throughout various Parnell galleries, stores and retail shops for all to view for two weeks from February 9th through to February 24th. We invite you to pick up a map from local cafés and galleries or download from www.parnell.net.nz and take yourselves on the ‘Little Pig Walk of Parnell’ where you will be able to view the artpieces on display.

Each Pig sculpture on show will have a QR code displayed with it for patrons to place an early ‘Pre-Auction’ bid. Patrons are welcome to bid on as many Pigs as they like, with bids over $500 being accepted. You are encouraged to view each Pig before making a bid.

Pre - Auction bids can be made directly through the website.
