It’s hard to be a little star in a big universe!

Children can follow one little star’s journey to find a name and family of its own in the new animated space show, The Little Star That Could. Little Star, an average yellow star, searches for planets of his own to protect and warm. Along the way, he meets other stars, learns what makes each star special and discovers that stars combine to form clusters and galaxies.

He also learns about the planets in our own solar system! Young sky watchers will learn that the sun is a star, what stars are made of, why stars are different colours, and how some stars are just the right size and temperature to support life. Perfect for introducing young children to space!

At the end of The Little Star, That Could you will take a trip into outer space with a tour of the night sky or a special Planetary Flyby. In the Night Sky show, you’ll gaze up at the universe to learn more about the stars you can see in the sky above us.

In the Planetary Flyby, you get to zoom by Jupiter, Mars, Venus and the other solar system planets to explore each planet's special features.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for shows. Late entry into the planetarium is not possible once the show has started.
