Eccles Entertainment is rapt to announce that legendary Australian band The Living End will be bringing their high energy live show to Auckland for one headline show next February.

Hot off the back of this morning’s Red Hot Summer Tour announce which will see The Living End take the stage in Lower Hutt alongside Jimmy Barnes, The Angels and more, The Living End will also bring their renowned live show to Auckland’s premiere rock venue The Powerstation.

Since forming in 1994, and rising to fame in 1997 with the release of double A-side ‘Second Solution/Prisoner of Society’, The Living End have remained at the top of their game.

With an average of 120 live shows every year, it’s no wonder they have earned the title of Australia’s most ferocious live act. Blending a range of styles including punk, rockabilly and straight up rock, The Living End produce anthemic choruses and memorable songs in abundance.

“The Living End provided a furiously frenetic and typically sweaty set full of highlights.” - Stuff

September 28th will see The Living End release their eighth studio album Wunderbar. Recorded in Berlin, during an icy cold winter, the elements provided a key role in producing one of the most raw, conscious and politically vital albums of their career. ‘There’s no better place in the world for rock and roll bands to make dirty, gritty rock and roll music’ recalled bassist Scott Owen.

Lead single ‘Don’t Lose It’ has been a favourite with punters, a mainstay on The Rock and features a legion of Aussie legends in the music video. As lead singer and guitarist Chris Cheney puts it ‘We’re not trying to re-write Dark Side Of The Moon or anything, Wunderbar does what the Living End do best, what’s kept hundreds of thousands of fans listening for nearly a quarter of a century: straightforward, heart-pounding, guns blazing rock and roll’.

This will be The Living Ends first visit to New Zealand since playing Auckland’s Big Day Out in 2012. Cheney for one can’t wait to get back and play for Kiwi audiences.

“We’ve played some of our most memorable live shows in New Zealand and the audiences still really appreciate their rock music. We can’t wait to get back there and plug into the Powerstation!”

This show will be a sell out and fans are encouraged to move quickly and purchase tickets to avoid disappointment!
