Get ready to groan!

After two years of sold-out and truly cringe-worthy shows all over the country, the time has come for the first-ever National Pun Battle Final! Witness history this October as NZ's regional pun champions go head-to-head in a one-night-only wit-erary show-down.

Wits have been sharpunned, wea-puns will be wielded, funny bones may well be broken. Get your tickets now to see Aotearoa's smartest alecks, wordiest nerds and biggest pun-ks, punslingers and pun-dits battle it out in this intense and hilarious pun-off. With over $1000 cash prize money on the line, you could say that the stakes are pun-ishing.

Expect utter pundemonium as we decide once and for all if the pun is mightier than the sword. Because, as we all know, a good pun is its own re-word.

ONE NIGHT ONLY! Saturday October 26th, 8.30pm at The Theaterette.
(Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8.30pm.)

HOW TO GET THERE
The Theaterette is at 10A02 21 Buckle Street, Mt Cook, behind the War Memorial. It’s only a 13-minute walk up the road from The Grand. We’ve also moved the gig’s start time half an hour back to accommodate the added travel time. We will have Front of House staff stationed both outside The Grand and The Theaterette to direct and help you.

DO YOU NEED A LIFT?!
Due to the late notice we were unable to book any shuttles but we have arranged some rides from The Grand to the Theaterette between 7.30pm and 8.30pm for people with mobility issues.
If you defs need to take us up on a lift, DM the Hugo page now (https://www.facebook.com/hugogrrrldragking/) and we’ll make sure we can get you there!

FREE PARKING INFO!
Entry through Gate D on Buckle street, or walk up the stairs from Pukeahu National War Memorial Park. Metered parking around the Museum Building will be free.

Please note! Seating is not allocated so make sure to arrive early to nab a good vantage point. Doors open one hour before showtime, latecomers may not be admitted, and door sales are cash only.
The event space is located upstairs. There is access to a lift, but please get in touch before the gig if you have any accessibility concerns so we can best help you out.
