Calling all families, community groups and sports groups. It's the 5th anniversary of the Papamoa Polar Plunge and we are taking it up a notch! We have 3 main prizes this year - $1000, $500 and $250, plus tonnes of spot prizes! Join Papamoa Unlimited, Onewave NZ, Proactive Four Corners of Health, Papamoa Surf Life Savers & The Edge on the Papamoa domain as we take the plunge to raise funds for local community groups from the Tauranga area.

Entry into the polar plunge is by gold coin and registrations open at the Papamoa domain at 10.00 am. Your registration gives you one vote for your favorite local non-profit organisation. If your name is drawn, your nominated organisation will win one of three prizes $1000, $500 or $250! All for taking a quick dip!

At 11.00 am before heading into the water you’ll enjoy some fun with the teams from The Edge and Papamoa Unlimited, as we all come together to do a big warm up on the beach.

After your dip, everyone will get dressed and warm, then head down to Papamoa Beach Tavern for the big prize giving where you will be welcomed with a free hot chocolate and free Hot soup. Did we mention kids eat free on Sundays with a full paying Adult? My Little Monkeys will also have their soft play and bouncy castles for the little ones to play on and The Edge radio team will be there to give you some laughs as we judge our best-dressed categories!

To be eligible for the main prize for your nominated group, you must be at the Papamoa Beach Tavern prize giving which begins at 11.30 am sharp.

Dress to impress Papamoa, we have heaps of cool prizes for the best-dressed group, boy, girl, teen boy, teen girl, mum and dad. There is no limited amount of entries for an organisation so round up the numbers and get ready to take the plunge for your local cause at the Papamoa Polar Plunge 2019!
